WORKPLACE BULLYING

Sadly workplace bullying is a continuing problem in the workplace, but employers are being held accountable under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992. Employer’s failure to deal with issues of bullying in the workplace could lead to a prosecution and/or a personal grievance claim from affected employees.

CONFLICT of INTEREST

This may include conducting asset checks, associating conflicted relationships to the employee or identifying breaches of mistrust by the employee.

It’s recommended by Employment NZ that sexual harassment investigations are conducted by external investigators to ensure an unbiased and legally compliant investigation is undertaken.
